Excellent ranch! Horses are healthy and well-loved. Beautiful trail ride through state park. Our guide, Morgan, was knowledgeable about the horses and the area and very much fun to talk to. We also very much appreciated the high level of attention to safety.

“A Repeat Visit Doesn’t Dissapoint
Had a wonderful one-hour beach ride with the new owner of the ranch. The horse was beautiful and willing and when added to the gorgeous scenery and great pictures it made a day to remember. I was originally hoping for a three-hour ride but waited too long to make a reservation and the stable was fully booked on the two days I would be in the area. The staff went out of their way to contact me; I had limited cell phone reception and arranged a private ride just for me. I can’t wait to go back and believe me, this time I will call ahead!”

“Awesome 3 hour ride
I took a 3 hour ride with my two teenage daughters. We had Brea as our guide. She was great with all of us. We are not real skilled riders and she was able to teach us quite a bit. We started off with a slow walk and by the end we were galloping through the hills. Although not long gallops, we were galloping. I would highly recommend Ricochet Ranch to all levels of riders. Thank you Brea and Jake for an awesome ride.”

“I’m a long time Mendocino coast resident and over the years have happily taken numerous visitors to ride at Ricochet Ridge. I am always impressed with the quality of the riding experience- attentive, professional yet personable guides, beautiful, healthy well-cared for horses, spectacular scenery. I never hesitate to recommend to my visiting friends riding along Ten Mile Beach as a must-do local experience and we’ve always had a great time here. Did a particularly special ride recently with my longtime friend who is a former horsewoman and we had an amazing time. Our horses were Gamay, Zuesda, and Leo, and they were a blast- spirited and cooperative. Vida was our guide. She’s a consummate pro; you feel safe with her and she’s super-colorful, energetic, and fun! The staff will take good care of you. It’s also clear that the horses are treated very well and that they are having a good time too.
I’ve always recommended Ricochet Ridge Ranch and can’t wait to bring more friends for a first-class riding experience here in paradise.
